‘I will get you out in the first over’ – Bhuvneshwar Kumar gives a savage reply to David Warner
As the entire world has gone into lockdown, there is pretty much no sporting event which is going on. The Indian Premier League 2020, which would have been in full swing by now, has been postponed. There is no surety whether the tournament will be played this year or not.
As there is no IPL, the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise has decided to keep their fans engaged by some other means. Sunrisers’ captain David Warner has started a show, Warner’s corner, where he invites one of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) players and interviews them. The show is run by David Warner by the official Instagram handle of the franchise. In this, he invites a player to join a live chat session with him and the two interact with each other.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was a guest on Warner’s corner
During one of the episodes of Warner’s corner, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the guest. During their interaction, Warner asked Bhuvi a question which one of the fans had given for him. Warner asked, “If you had been bowling to me in the last over of the final of ICC T20 World Cup at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and we needed four runs off the final delivery, what would you bowl to me?”
Warner also added that he thinks that Kumar would bowl a knuckleball as that would be difficult to hit for a boundary, given that the boundaries at the MCG are quite large. After listening to this question, Kumar gave a savage reply to his IPL captain.
Bhuvneshwar said, “I don’t think I would have bowl the last over because I will get you out in the first over.” Warner started laughing after hearing his answer, and the two players had a fun interaction afterwards. The clip of their interaction was uploaded by the official Twitter handle of Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and David Warner share a great camaraderie with each other. The two players have been playing for the franchise since 2014. Kumar was the vice-captain of the franchise last season. He, in fact, led the team in some matches when regular skipper Kane Williamson was injured and not playing. After not leading the franchise in 2019 season, Warner was supposed to return to captaincy for the IPL 2020.
