The coronavirus pandemic has failed to subside since its outbreak. In the past few months, the world has severely been affected by COVID-19 outbreak as more than 3 lakh people have succumbed to death so far across the globe. Along with human existence, the pandemic has also halted the sporting scenario in the world.

Major sporting events have been postponed in the wake of the pandemic and sportspersons including cricketers are left with no choice but to stay indoors. Amid their quarantine period, cricketers have been keeping themselves busy by conducting Facebook and Instagram live interactions. Fans have got to experience multiple interactions between cricketers from across the globe.

Virat Kohli, who is one of the most popular cricketers in international cricket, has also been quite active on social media. He has interacted with several cricketers during these trying times. Recently, Kohli, along with his deputy in white-ball cricket Rohit Sharma, was involved in a Facebook live interaction with Bangladesh’s Tamim Iqbal.

Virat Kohli wishes everyone a happy Eid

During the interaction, Tamim asked the Indian captain whether he would like to wish the people of Bangladesh for Eid. “Virat bhai, Eid is coming so would you like to wish the people of Bangladesh Eid Mubarak?” Tamim asked Kohli.

In reply, the prolific batsman said that he is hopeful that everyone can celebrate this festival with a smile across their face. According to Kohli, the world is currently going through a stern situation and everyone should cherish time with their family at this moment.

“I would like to wish everyone a happy Eid. Everyone is spending time with their families and we have to enjoy that. The time we are going through should be a memorable time spent with family. Also, I would like to wish that everyone can celebrate this Eid with a smile despite all the challenges,” Kohli said.

“Hopefully things will become alright. Obviously, we will all pray together. I don’t think it’s a time where we look at each other differently and say things like ‘this is happening there, or that is happening there’ because everyone is at the same level during these times. Everyone is fighting it,” Kohli concluded.
